| First thing I did was test these things on myself. I didn't think it was fair to use them until I knew how strong they were. I could handle it up to 5, and that's as high as I use it on our dogs. As for the device itself, I think they work well. The range is decent, even working through walls in a pinch. The size is great, even for small dogs. The biggest downside is the batteries. They don't last long. The one in the remote is fine, but the ones in the collars seem to die fairly frequently. They seems to last a few weeks at the most. |

A very smart, cute, and strong willed Min Schnauzer and I were in a stand off on the subjects of excessive barking and refusual to come when called. I ordered the collar but wasn't sure I would ever have the nerve to use it. After having it for several weeks, I finally put it on him. (Warnings like "If you don't stop barking, I will put this collar on you" didn't seem to work..go figure). I haven't used the shock feautre at all..just the sound option and it's a miracle. On a low setting, 3 or 4, it stops my boy from barking immediately and he comes promptly when called after receiving the signal.
Battery life has been excellent. I put the collar on him when he goes outside and remove it when he comes back in the house, so I don't leave it on for extended time periods. I find the buttons and strength control very easy to use.
I had my doubts that this collar would work for my boy, but it did and was so much more effective immediately than I expected. I will probably never use the shock option..too much of a wimp (me, not the dog) but I would recommend this product without hesitation. |

| I bought 2 of these and they work great for my chihuahuas. They would bolt out of the yard after any dog or wildlife putting themselves in danger. Only took 1 shock before they understood to come when I beeped. I highly recommend these collars. |

| This has worked wonderfully for us. Our 20lb miniature sheep dog mix is very smart and obedient, except when it came to going outside. He would run out the front door and take off down the street, completely ignoring our commands to come back. We were worried for his safety, as our neighborhood has constant traffic. We worried he would dart in front of a car. So based on a friend's recommendation, we bought this shock collar. We love that it's especially made for small dogs. You don't have to worry that they're getting too much of a shock. Since we've had it, we have had to use the shock button one time. We opened the front door and he and he took off down the street as usual. But when he looked at us and wouldn't come, we hit the tone button then the shock button, which was set at level 2. He came running back to us and has never ignored our commands again. Now we don't have toworry about him slipping out the door and running down the street. And if he goes outside, we know he'll stay in our yard. And if he does go down the street, we can count on hi to come when we call him. It was definitely worth the money to keep him safe. We would definitely recommend this to anyone!!! |
