| Got this for my dog to keep him warm in the winter. it definitely is easy to use...heats up in micro and stays warm all day. it's hard as a rock though...if you bury it under a pillow, the warmth gets covered up...but it's similar to putting a 2x4 across the middle of your bed and trying to sleep over it. it's rigid and hard plastic, which is good b/c my fox terrier who is an avid chewer didn't get thru it the few times he tried...but he really wanted nothing to do with it either. If your animal can find a comfortable way to use it, it's definitely great thoguh. For us,he used it more as a play thing and i didn't want to risk him getting to the stuff inside and hurting himself potentially. We've opted to instead, buy one of those heat-reflecting beds that they market for cats. those are amazing and once my dog got over the crinkly noise when he walked on it, he LOVES it and uses it all the time in the winter. Bigger dogs may need two..but the cat bed itself is quite large..certainly big eough for a 25 lb fox terrier (all muscle, no fat..just a big dog for his breed). I highly recommend going THIS route instead...no maintenance with the bed and it'll warm the animal for as long as they're laying on it. i tried it myself..and the reflection of heat is noticeable within 2 seconds of contact. Thsi product is good though too..just uncomfrotable and it gradually does loose the heat. |

| There is not a description on the heatpad that says it already comes with one of this, so I ended buying it unnecesarily. Some how, this was also too small and when trying to fit, it broke a little. |

| This heats up well and really holds the heat as promised, but our dogs don't like it. I think it's because it's so hard. I thought that it would soften when heated, but it doesn't. |

| I bought this product because I didn't know the product already comes with a cover. Plus I wanted to get the free shipping. Now I just have an extra cover (and I don't really use the product because it wasn't what I really wanted). It's a nice cover though. |
